TUESDAY’S SOUP: Garden Vegetable Prime Rib
While there are probably many ways to describe Johanna’s Tuesday soup I think the best way would be “comfort”. My first thought upon eating the soup was, “Next time I’m sick, I want to get my hands on this soup.” It is just what you want when you are in need of warm, comforting, yet delicious and filling food. The chef at Johanna’s, James, says he thinks soup should have enough substance that you get actual food in every bite. Soft vegetables like tomatoes, carrots, and potatoes simmer with generous chunks of tender prime rib in a savory beef stock. I ate every drop. And some of my husband’s.
